lone blossom

from the madison valley. a photograph most days, and words when they come.

i live along north meadow creek, in the madison valley of southwest montana — a long sweep of grass and water between two mountain ranges. most mornings i'm on the river, or on a ridge above it, or pointed at whatever the light is doing. this is where that ends up.

"field work" is one photograph a day, pulled without much fuss from a year of looking — the madison, the gallatin, the yellowstone, the country in between. the writing comes slower, when it comes. you can follow either, or both.
